Leaving you with some pictues
I thought I would do a quick post before we head out tomorrow since I won't be posting until next week. We are leaving for Disney World tomorrow!!!!! The girls are sooooo excited! Ok...Ill admitt it...I'm excited too. I will be sure to take TONS of pics.
I planned on posting yesterday, September 11th. But I didn't. Honestly I didn't think anything needed to be said. We all feel patriotic, proud, sad, thankful, worried, almost every emotion, all at the same time. Although I didn't know it then...that day would forever change my life. My husband is a Marine and of course would be sent to that war. We spent the day together. Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the kitchen table instead of having a meal out which we usually do on a weekend. We went to the park and pushed our kids on the swings. We put the kids for a nap and I read a book and watched my husband play a video game. We just were together and silently thankful for each others company. But of course, We Will Never Forget.
Here a couple of pictures from the week. Big Sis and friend at Ballet, a trip to the park, and a sleepover. Enjoy. And be sure to check back next week for our Disney pics and stories. I can't wait to see the magic in our kids' eyes!

Mil Spouse Friday Fill In
Ive decided to participate in the Mil Spouse Friday Fill In. Hopefully my readers will get to know me a little better!

1. Do you set goals for yourself during deployment?
Always, even small separations I set some type of goal. Get a kid potty trained or
off of a sippy cup, lose weight, organize something, get involved in a new group or activity or class. Thing like that. I think it's soooo important to set goals for yourself and to think about yourself during deployments. I could never be one of those girls that juts sits by the phone or computer waiting and waiting.
2. What would you say to someone dating a military guy or gal?
To really think about your future with them before making spur of the moment decisions. I feel like a lot of really young girls fall head over heels in love really fast. Which is fine...I did too. But being a military spouse isn't easy and they should look at it at all angles before making a huge part of their lives.
3. If you have children, how do you prepare them to move to a new place?
When we moved here from Okinawa, Big Sis was only 2 and Lil Sis was still baking. Big Sis was sad to leave her friends but didn't fully understand things. She is such an easy kid when it comes to transitions. She loves her new room, new bed, new house. She started a new school and made new friends. Our move coming up will prove a lot more difficult I'm sure since she is 4 and a half now. We'll figure that out soon I guess.
4. Name one hobby that gets you through alone time.
Well as all of you already know, I'm a fitness fanatic. So when the hubs is gone, I step it up at the gym. Try a new fitness class maybe. At home, I like to decorate. I get a lot of my ideas through decorating blogs.
5. What's the one food you don't ever get tired of?
I can't think of one food. I love to eat...everything. Except green peppers. My fav is Italian though. I make some killer Italian food. Pizza too. And Quesadillas. And my homemade chicken noodle soup...homemade noodles and all. Told ya I like food!
I have some awesome pictures to post this weekend. Stay tuned!!

Deployment Survivor
Amber from Goodnight Moon is doing a blog link up for deployment survivors. It's such a fun idea and everyone who links up gets to post about their deployment story and read others. Thanks Amber!! I LOVE your blog!
Here is the botton, be sure to grab it for your blog and post your deployment survivor story.
">
I don't have that one deployment story. Yes hubs has been deployed, several times actually. I turn into deployment mode each time. The first week I'm sad. Then I get over it and get on with it. My kids keep me ridiculously busy that the only time I notice hubs missing is in bed at night. I get sad but refuse to feel sorry for myself. I count down the days until he returns and dread when he tells me he has to go back. I don't like deployments at all...but I think we can all agree that the homecoming is *the* most amazing feeling. You can't really put it in to words and we all know, that no one will ever understand until they have gone through it too. To you fellow deployment survivors, you are AMAZING for your selflessness. It's a job that only a select few, amazing, brave, strong women can do. And Remember, at your next homecoming, say a prayer for all of those wives and families who werent able to get that welcome home hug.

Week in Review
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a nice Labor Day weekend. Ours was pretty good. Friday night, the Hubs and I enjoyed a date night. We had dinner at a new seafood place then hit the bookstore. Browsing the book store is so nice without kids! Saturday we went to a birthday party for a friends 1 year old little boy. Then hit another birthday party for my twin friends 40th. They had a keg!! Loads of fun. Sunday we went to the beach and had lunch there. Lil Sis now swims on her own with arm floaties. It's sooo cute. Today we went to Old Navy to get me some new shorts since mine are falling off. Ive lost like 3 sizes this summer. Yahoo!! Although I didn't find any shorts lol. Having the 3 days with hubs is sooo nice. It's not often that he gets to participate in the 96's or in this case the 72.
Dance class started back up for the year this past week. Big Sis did great and she has a friend from last years class. Lil Sis starts her dance class next month. I', guessing it will be like a bull in a china shop but I am staying positive :)
In one week from today we will be at Disney World for the week! The kiddos are sooo excited!
Here is a pic from Dance on Thursday

Here is a ball gown I tried on earlier today. What do you think? I am loving red this year.

Just a quick last minute note;
I love blogging and I love my followers. Please do not be offended that I won't accept your friend requests on Facebook. I assume you found me on Facebook from my email? Not Sure. I keep blogging and Facebook separate to keep names and locations private. Sorry for the confusion!

Is it just me?
Ok, I have a story. It's funny and disturbing all at the same time if thats possible. We recently joined the YMCA so Big Sis' activities (tball, soccer, dance, swim etc) would be cheaper and so that we could use the pool. I have a different gym membership. Anyhoo, so Big Sis was heading to swim class so I put little Sis in the daycare. This daycare rocks, they will give your kids snacks and drinks that I bring, and even change their diapers. (My current gym doesnt allow food and wont change diapers). So I was thrilled. I have to add that the girls working in the daycare are pretty young. A lot of high school kids volunteer to earn college credits. So I dont think many of them have kids. So I go to pick up Lil Sis and the girl says "oh wait, I think she might have pooped" So Im like "Oh ok, thanks for telling me". I expect to grab Lil Sis and take her to the restroom. Nope. The girl grabs her, picks her up, and SMELLS HER BUTT!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, now ANYONE with kids has done this. TO THEIR OWN CHILDREN!! I was so appalled that this chick sniffed my kids butt. I wasnt offended or anything....just shocked. The girl sniffs her butt and says "nope, you're good". I think I stood there with my mouth open like a moron for like 5 minutes. Long enough for the girl to say "Is there anything else I can help you with". Is this unbelievable or is it JUST ME?!

I know...she's sooooo freakin cute. But the question is...would you smell her butt?

Im Alive!
Hello there September!!!!!! Can't believe you're already here. I have been missing for a week(ish). Sorry about that. We've had some big changes going on around here. But anyway. I don't have much to blog about. I was RIDICULOUSLY sick last week. I mean on the couch, dying sick. It was one of those times I wish my husband had a normal job and could come home and take care of the kids for me. I'm feeling better, not 100% though. Food poisoning is a bitch!
Big Sis is doing awesome in school. She had a dentist appt today and ballet starts back up tomorrow.
We are getting serious about buying a new car. I love my car but its time for something bigger. I REALLLLLLLLY want a Sequoia. I know, It's huge and really expensive. But I love it. I also love the brand new Kia Sportage. I know...everything thinks Kia is crap, but have you seen that thing? It's BADASS! Although I always told myself we don't need a brand new car. Still looking.
On an exciting note, we are heading on vacation in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to go. We've go away on little trips often. Back home to Massachusetts, the beach for a weekend, little TDY trips, but this is our first time taking the kids to Disney world for a whole week. Should be a blast. Only bummer is that we have to take big Sis our of school for it. But it's our ONLY time to go while we are still in FL so we're going.
Thats all I've got for now. Hope everyone's kiddos had a great first day of school!! Stay tuned for some pics this week! I have 2 new followers this week also. Welcome!
