Today was eventful...We went to Livs soccer game this morning which went well. Came home for a rest then heading out to the park. Which also went well. It was after dinner that it all went downhill. I don't understand how so much puke can come out of such small kids. Soph got sick at dinner so headed straight up for bath. All clean and warm and then Liv hurls. *sigh*. I'm going to bed before anything else happens! Enjoy the funny pics.
Static much?
This kid is so stinkin cute!!
So is this one!! She is dying to play soccer!
Check out that form!! Go Liv!
An update on Mike; He is doing well. Not sick anymore. He got all of our packages, thank to Moms and Dads, Becky and Maurico, Kurt and Mel, and T.A.M.P.A. for all your support. He has PLENTY of toiletries now!! He said he was going to try and take 30 days of leave when he gets back for some quality family time. YAY!! Thanks again everyone!
I haven't posted in a while. Liv has been pretty sick over the past 5 days. Her asthma is back with a vengeance! She got sick on Sunday and I thought it was a cold but noticed a lot of wheezing. We wound up at the Dr office for hours. She has pneumonia AGAIN. They didn't want to let Olivia go home because her o2 was too low. It has to be like 96 before they will discharge them. I was pretty much begging her not to admit Liv. Thank God, after 3 treatments her o2 came up to 94 and they let us go home. We are back on inhalers, steroids, antibiotics and breathing treatments every 4 hours around the clock. Did I mention I was tired??? She is doing MUCH better today. Those liquid steroids work really fast. She has another appointment tomorrow to see if she can move the neb treatments to 6 hours apart. She should be able to play in her soccer game Saturday and return to school on Monday. Pray for good health!
Sophia rested on the couch with big sister...awwww! Her lil foot stickin' out is so cute!
My memory card worked this time but battery died! Ugh!! I was able to get a few pictures though. The Tigers rocked this morning! Liv is #3. Which she picked herself! Enjoy the pics!
Liv practicing her ballet skills at soccer practice.
Mama and Liver. Im tired...leave me alone.
Woops, wrong jersey coach!! (They switched to Red.)
This was out my kitchen window last night after a thunderstorm. Pink skies and my Palm tree. How pretty!
Today we ventured out to the Florida State Fair. Sorry hometown peeps but this fair puts Marshfield to shameeeee. It's SO big. Too bad it rained on us but we still had fun!
I just threw in this picture of Sophia this morning because she has the best hair of any baby I've ever seen. Look at the shine and volume!! This is what it looked like when she woke up!
Watching the Circus
Phuong and Isaac. He was mesmerized by the acts.
Me being angry because I'm soaked. Isaac thought it was hilarious.
I had to give Chevy my home address for this poncho! I used it to cover Sophia most of the time though. We stuck Isaac's head through the arm home and it doubled for both kids. Hilarious.
Unfortunately my memory card decided to be a total piece of shit and lose all my pictures and videos from the soccer game this morning. TOTAL BUMMER! (insert curse words)
But thankfully the wonder Ms Phuong let me borrow hers and I stole a few pics. Maybe when my genius husband gets home he can figure mine out. But here are some pics...look how cute our soccer stars are!! My little star!
Practicing her kicks. Go Liv!!
Getting a pep talk before the game. For it being their first game, these kids did AWESOME! GO TIGERS!!!
Here is Mike inside his tent that they sleep in. I'm pretty sure it's 10 guys who share this tent.
This is Nate (gunny), Matt (civ contractor) and Mike outside the Afghan Government building where they worked last week. Where are your Kevlars boys????
Didn't your mom ever tell you not to play with guns?? There is something just so charming about a gun strapped to my husbands thigh.
This kid just looks so cute...but let me assure you...She is HELL ON WHEELS. My day went a little something like this:
-Livs stays home from school sick (although not sick) -Bring Liv to dance (and hellion) -Soph disrupts class (the one class I get to sit in on and watch) -Soph is so loud I have to bring her out and miss Liv's solo - Liv spends 30 minutes building a tower that Soph sat on and destroyed. -Liv cries for 30 minutes -Soph puts green beans in her ear that I have to remove with tweezers -Soph poops out red crayon from the other day. -Soph shoves toilet paper roll down toilet and clogs it - I get toilet water all over me - Soph goes to bed.
But I know in the morning I will go in her room and she will be standing (by standing I mean jumping up and down vigorously while yelling mommy) it's then I will forget all her naughtyness and remember how stinkin cute she is. (Until breakfast with friends where she will throw food at Phuong and spit on Awilda)
My master closet is re-dic-u-lous. It has everything from clothes, shoes, makeup from high school, Military gear, zip ties, fishing crap, ammunition, linens, and other things that I have no idea how they got there. We have like 10 closets in our house...storage should not be a problem...I totally blame my husband. He is so messy!!! This closet will stay organized until the minute he steps his foot in the door. Here is the before picture:
Don't make fun of my slippers, they're awesome.
Ah, nice and organized. I bought 2 shoe racks at target for $15 each, They hold about 20 pairs each. People...I have a great love of shoe. All kinds. I've never met a shoe I did not like. (and need) Leave me shoe fetish alone. I had 3 Rubbermaid bins in the other master closet. And I really wanted to shoes out so they wouldn't get so squished. All the linens for the master bathroom neaty on the right hand side. The bins on top are all Mike's PT gear. Ugh.
More shoes, and a basket full of flip flops. I have all the jeans on the top shelf folded...I don't like them there and plan to hang them later. Pant hangers are expensive!
This is the other master closet. It's used for uniforms and gear. I have a true hatred for gear. Mike has about 10 pairs of cammies, 6 pairs of boots. and endless uniforms. Not to mention all the gear he has with him in Afghanistan. It takes up so much space!!! I keep it behind these doors so I never have to look at it. This closet is really big but you can't tell with all the crap. It's complete with uniforms, a giant box of purses at the bottom, a foot spa, some weapons, and yes...that's a bullet proof vest.
Much better. Although my purses are still in a box for now. Whatever. The entire left side is luggage. I have NO IDEA why we have 8, yes 8, duffell bags, 3 sea bags (gear), and like 15 other bags of some sort. (ANDDDDDDD we have like 10 suitcases in the spare bedroom closet! ugh!)
But I got all of the shoes out of the 3 bins that used to be in this closet. Put all Mike's uniforms and covers in a neater manner and it looks much better. But seeing all his uniforms made me totally miss him. I just stoof there and admired them for a few minutes. He looks amazingly sexy in those dress blues. ;)
We sat down tonight to make some Valentines Day cards. Olivia did a great job (as expected)...Sophia on the other hand...*sigh* See picture below.
I gave her a piece of paper and two...count them, two, crayons. I figured she could handle that. After coloring all over her food tray and eating half of a red crayon...she was done with her Valentines. Oh sweet Sophia is such a trouble maker.
Also...Mike has a new address. Ill be sending that out later tonight. Enjoy your Monday Night Everyone!
Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find everything from finger paintings, tutu's, family vacations, recipes, and the occasional picture of my cat :)
We are your typical American family livin' and lovin' the dream we call life. Our little family of 4 consists of myself, my sarcastic but loving husband, and our 2 outgoing daughters who are 8 and 5. Of course of precious cat who we love dearly (like more than a crazy cat lady loves her cat). Back to the U.S. from Okinawa (for the second time), we are now living as civilians in Virginia and adjusting to our new life. Check back for lots of family happenings!
