Giant Muffins

Happy Monday! It's still chilly here in Tampa so we made some warm goodies today. Liv helped whip up some fresh blueberry muffins with my new Jumbo muffin pan! Man, I love that thing!! These muffins are HUGE! We also made some of my homemade chicken noodle soup...this time I made it all with organic ingredients too! Yum!!! Enjoy the pics :)

Circus!

Today we went to the Ringling Brother Barnum & Bailey Circus! We had tons of fun! We went with Phuong, Isaac, Erin and Ethan! Sophia was a bit cranky...I don't recommend the circus for an 18 month old. Man, the circus sure has come a long way from when I went when I was younger. The tricks they do are amazing! Let it Snow!

Happy Weekend!! Yup, this is a picture of snow in Florida this morning! The low today was 28! This picture was taken about 10 min east of us. Crazy huh?! Anyhoo, We took a trip to Ikea today which was not awesome (to say the least). Sophia was just having a cranky day. I did however find a bed frame I am eying. For some reason Ikea always gives me a ridiculous headache. We came back here and had a nice playdate and dinner with Phuong and Isaac. Tomorrow we are heading to the circus!! Woohoo! Sophia is 18 months!

I feel so silly for forgetting to post about Sophia's checkup!!!!

Miss Sophia had her 18 month checkup yesterday.
She is in the 90th % for height and 30th % for weight.
It looks like she is going to be tall like her big sis!

She is doing fantastic with her speech and development, so
that's great news! A tiny bit of bad news is she has some sort of
skin condition that hasn't been diagnosed. I am trying to get her
a referral to a dermatologist but our insurance makes it tough.

She gets these big red blotches on her skin that spread rather quickly,
she itches them and they open up and blister. Ive tried band aids but she
just rips them off. The sores go away after a few days but they leave an ugly scar!
My poor baby!! : ( Hopefully we will figure something out soon!!

Here we go again!

I haven't posted in a few days because we have been spending some precious time with Mike! He left today for Afghanistan yet again. He took off this morning to Dulles and had a long layover there (until about 10 pm). He should call me tomorrow around noon so hopefully Ill have an update. The time frame we have is 4-6 months right now. I have a list of goals for the next 6 months to keep me busy. Here is a sneak peak ;

1. Get back into working out and run a 10k!
2. Organize my master closet!!!
3. Get Sophia potty trained (Yes, I know it's early, but she wants to be like her big sis!)
4. See my Mommy!


Prayers and well wishes our way please!! Ill get Mike's address to everyone as soon as I get it. Next week probably...We miss you and love you Mike!!! Hurry back!

Animal Kingdom!!! Rawr!!!!

We are back from Orlando!! We spent the weekend at Animal Kingdom and had a blast!! It was soooo cold though! In the low 40's! We made the best of it and bundled up. The park was great...we saw lots of animals and a Finding Nemo show. The girls loved everything and Sophia napped in her stroller (very rare). We stayed till close then hit the Military hotel inside Disney. It was MUCH better than we had anticipated (as all my military friends know....they cheap out on EVERYTHING) So it was a nice suprise to have such a nice hotel. It was lodge style with lots of amenities. Little too cold for the pool..even though it was heated. We woke up this morning and had breakfast, fed some ducks and fish, played on the park and headed back around noon. Enjoy all the pics and be sure to check out my YouTube channel for videos. Happy New Year!

We had a great New Year's Eve with some friends last night. We had lots of food, drinks, and games. I havent decided on a New Years resolution just yet...What about you? We are hoping 2010 brings more healthy days than sick days, more smiles than frowns, more love than hate, more peace, less war and more days home with Mike than days deployed!! We hope everyone brought in the New Year with a special kiss!!! Here is ours...
