How Sweet It Is

We're back! We spent and AWESOME little vaca on Little Gasparilla Island. It's about a 2 hour drive south of Tampa. It's only accessible by boat so we parked at the Marina and took a boat out to the island. There are no cars at all on the island. Just little dirt roads that people drive around on with their golf carts. The house came with a golf cart so we hauled all of our stuff that way. You have to bring EVERYTHING you need because there is nothing on the island but houses. No stores, no restaurants, I mean NOTHING! Crazy! Our house was soooooo cute!!! It was called "How Sweet It Is". It was RIGHT on the Gulf! The view from the living room and master bedroom were breath taking. We slept with out window open and listened to the waves crash! We collected a million shells, watched sun sets, swam, sunbathed, drove around in the golf cart (which the girls thought was HILARIOUS). Big Sis even drove! We saw a few snakes too, ewwww. The house had a huge screened in porch so Mike and I sat out there with a glass (or two) of wine and watched the millions of stars. It was the perfect little get away that we needed as a family since The Hubs' homecoming. Enjoy the pics!

Day at the Zoo

We had a great day at the Zoo today. The weather was PERFECT and I packed us a nice picnic lunch. Big Sis rode a horse, which she always loves. Little Sis threw NO fits (which is rare) so it was a perfect day. We went out for pizza for dinner to top it off. Enjoy our pics!!! Comments are always welcome! That means you! *points*

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter! We went to an Easter Egg hunt on base yesterday. I never go to base and every time I do, I regret it, yesterday was no exception. This morning the Easter bunny visited our house and brought the girls some goodies. I made a HUGE feast of a 20lb ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked mac and cheese, cherry pie, deviled eggs, and a yummy veggie tray. We had dinner at the neighbors and the kids did an egg hunt. Afterwards we came home and The Hubs wanted to wash his car. Big Sis wore her bathing suit to help out. It was super cute. I hope you all had a great Easter Sunday! The best part of my day (besides cooking for 3 hours) was having my wonderful husband home!!

The Hubs Is Home!!!

The Hubs came in last night around 9 pm. My good friend K came with me to snap some pics and help out with the kids. She ROCKS! I'm so thankful for her friendship. We made a cute little poster and the girls were THRILLED to see their daddy. It's sooooo nice to have him home. Today we headed to the base to do a bunch of uniform stuff then to the mall to take Easter Bunny pics. Enjoy the pics and thanks for everyone's support while he was gone!!!

Anxiously awaiting Daddy!

Big Sis and Little Sis so happy!
